(SULTAN, WA) -- If you live in Sultan and would like to participate in enhancing Sultan’s “curb appeal” along U.S. Highway 2, have we got a deal for you.
The Sultan City Council and Sky Valley Chamber of Commerce Board meet on Wednesday, March 3 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to plan up to three projects to improve the visual appearance of Sultan along US 2.
The meeting takes place in the Sultan Council Chambers at 319 Main Street and city officials request interested citizens attend the meeting to help formulate a plan of attack.
Projects under consideration include painting and repairing the Sultan Post Office, refurbishing the water feature in Traveler’s Park on US 2, and seeking low-cost ways to improve the visual image of properties along US 2.
“The idea behind project clean sweep grew out of a joint meeting between the Sky Valley Chamber Board and the City Council,” said Mayor Carolyn Eslick.
Sky Valley Chamber President Jeff Cofer said community members and business owners are looking for ways to attract more visitors to the Sultan community and Sky Valley and “Since money is tight and times are tough, the Sky Valley Chamber and Sultan City Council are looking for low cost ways using community volunteers to spiff-up US 2 which is Sultan’s front porch.”
