(SNOHOMISH, WA.) –- In a middle class neighborhood of manicured lawns and well maintained homes in the city of Snohomish, a woman was shot to death Monday night at her residence.
The woman, 45, was shot in her house in the 15600 block of 59th Drive SE Monday evening in what Sheriff's Office deputies believe may have been a domestic violence dispute, according to a statement issued Monday night by the sheriff’s office.
A call was made to 911 around 9 pm Monday by a man who said someone was hurt in the residence and to "just send the Sheriff quickly".
“When patrol arrived on scene they found an unconscious adult woman with gunshot wounds,” said sheriff’s office Director of Communications Shari Ireton. “Aid on scene began administering CPR. A 49 year-old male at the scene, believed to be the woman's husband, was taken into custody without incident.”
Major Crimes detectives will investigate the shooting, but Ireton says at this time there is no evidence that any other suspect(s) was involved in the incident and that investigators believe the lone shooter is in custody.
