POLICE BLOTTER 8/28 - 9/3/08
September 08, 2008
(SNOHOMISH, WA) -- WARRANT ARREST: On 08/29/2008, at approximately 4:40 p.m., Snohomish Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Rainier for a report of an intoxicated male that broke into a residence refusing to leave.
Police Blotter: warrant, reckless driving, animal control
While enroute dispatch advised officers of the male's name and found him on a current warrant list for an outstanding Felony warrant for his arrest. Officers knocked on the door and a short time later a white male opened the door. He identified himself as the subject in question. The male turned around and backed out of the door with his hands behind his back. He was taken into custody without incident and shipped to Snohomish County Jail.
RECKLESS DRIVING: On 08/29/2008, at approximately 8:14 p.m., Snohomish officers were dispatched to the 800 block of 10th Street for the report of a blue truck doing donuts at an excessive rate of speed in the area of the Jack in the Box parking lot with another male riding in the pick-up bed.
Upon arrival, the officers contacted the complainant who gave me a description of the
driver, and also mentioned that the truck almost hit a parked vehicle. After questioning several individuals, the driver was identified and the officers drove to this home, where they issued him a citation for Reckless Driving.
DWLS/WARRANT/POSSESSION: On 09/01/08, at approximately 8:20 p.m., while working uniform patrol for the City of Snohomish, officers checked the license plate of a vehicle traveling West on 10th Street, and it was returned with the vehicle being sold over 45 days.
Officers contacted the driver of the vehicle who identified the owner of the vehicle as her passenger, a 23-yr old Snohomish male, who stated he was going to get the registration on the following day. The female driver informed the officers her license had been suspended and that she had a warrant.
During a search of the vehicle, several illegal substances were located that appeared packaged and weighted out for sale. The male admitted to the drugs being his, and he was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and Possession with intent to sell. The female driver was arrested for driving with a suspended license and having an outstanding warrant. Both were transported to Snohomish County Jail.
ANIMAL CONTROL: On 09/02/08, at approximately 12:14 p.m., the Snohomish CSO responded to an animal control complaint in the 2100 block of Ludwig Road. The complainant said her neighbor's dogs, from Clark Avenue, were in her yard again.
The CSO observed both dogs, a young brown and white female pit bull and an intact, black, male pit bull/lab mix, loose in the unfenced part of the yard. It appeared they had escaped through an unlocked gate from the fenced part of the yard.
The CSO put both of the dogs back inside the fenced area and "jerry rigged" a board and a garbage can as an attempt to keep them in the yard until the owner returned home and could fix the fence, leaving a notice for the owners. Four hours later, the CSO was informed the dogs were at large again. They were contained and transported to the Everett Animal Shelter.
