BOOK SPONSORS NEEDED FOR WORLD WAR 2 PROJECT
March 07, 2010

(SNOHOMISH, WA) -- On May 22 there will be a reception in Snohomish to honor World War II veterans that participated in the Snohomish County WWII Project.

The reception will be at 3:00 p.m. at the Snohomish Senior Center, 506 Fourth Street in Snohomish.

This project resulted in a coffee table book that showcases 45 local veterans, their World War Two era photographs, and heroic actions that have mostly gone unknown until now.

Participants and family members are being invited to the reception to donate a book of their compiled stories that will be kept at the Snohomish Senior Center.

The project also seeks to donate a book at the event to all 45 veterans who participated in the project.

Community participation is needed to make that happen. Project officials are seeking community members who will sponsor a book for $100 that will be given in their name to a veteran at the event.

More information: contact Shannon Moore, WWII Event Coordinator at Shannon-moore@verizon.net.
