(SKYKOMISH, WA) -- The last Skykomish Public Market of the summer takes place Saturday Sept. 8 from 11am to 3pm.
The market features arts and crafts vendors, garden produce, and Eastern Washington fruits. It’s located in Depot Park, a grassy picnic area along Railroad Avenue in Skykomish’s historical district.

New for this year is an 18-foot canvas banner being painted by local residents that is on display. It is in honor and remembrance of the long-standing Whistling Post tavern and historical building that was destroyed by an arson fire in the early morning hours of April 10.
The good news is the Whistling Post is rising again. It is in the rebuilding phase and the framing and roof of the new Whistling Post are up and to all in Skykomish it is a heartening sight.
