(SKYKOMISH, WA) -- Story telling is an ancient human practice. It predates writing and is how our ancestors built and maintained culture and community and also made sense of the world around them.
Story telling is the earliest form of grass-roots community journalism.
In fact, that is what a good journalist does today -- tells a fact based story that hopefully captivates the reader/listener/viewer in some way and in the process relays important information to that reader about the world around them.
