That's how low our state ranks in having a good Public Records Act

Just how badly does Washington state's Public Records Act need fixing? Well, surveys of state public records laws were made by two different organizations.
Their reports came out in 2007 and 2105. Take a good look at the chart in the PDF file at right:

And you'll see Washington state's Public Records act compared with two states that also received lousy grades for their laws -- but those states at least got passing grades.
Washington did not!
Our state ranks a very sad #32 in the country for having a lousy public records act. We couldn't even make it in the Top 30 for having an acceptable law.
