SKY VALLEY EX-PAT WANTS PASSAGE OF MONROE HOSPITAL LEVY
March 18, 2013
I want to urge all people in the Valley General Hospital district to please prepare to vote YES in the upcoming levy. The hospital will flourish with the affiliation of Evergreen Health and YOUR VOTE.
Remember it will take both...your vote makes a huge difference. I can't imagine not having the many services the hospital has provided my family, my friends, and me! Ask yourself some questions:
Do I want to drive clear to Kirkland or Everett for chemo, blood transfusions, general surgeries and urgent health matters?
Do I want my loved ones to be able to get to hospital health services they need in a timely manner?
Do I want to follow an ambulance through traffic with a 45 minute drive and try to find parking?
My family and I have had great care at this hospital. And it was so helpful to be close enough to drive back and for various reasons.
I could go home to sleep at night and return early the next day to see loved ones. My elderly father needed blood transfusions every week for a long time, and having the short drive made it so much easier on him and those of us who drove him there.
I've had major surgeries there and the care was awesome. All four of my grandchildren were born there under the best of care. My younger grandson has been in emergency twice now. What a difference it made to drive him only 10 minutes away, and, others in the area could join him and his family for support.
Although I don't live there any longer, I have many family and friends there. I feel assured for their health and safety because the hospital is there.
In the upcoming levy, please vote, and vote YES for yourself, your loved ones, and those in the valley who depend on having a full service hospital nearby.
