(MONROE, WA.) -- On Thursday, March 30 the Monroe High School (MHS) Hi-Q team will compete with teams from Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Alabama in the national championship match via video conference.
Monroe won the regional championship against Stanwood and Lake Stevens on Friday March 17.
"Hi-Q is the oldest, continuous academic quiz competition for high school students in the nation," said the Monroe School District's Tamara Krache in a recent email.
Questions are based primarily on the content of standard high school courses: American History, American Government, Art History, Biology, Chemistry, Current Events, Geography, Literature, Mathematics, Physics, Shakespeare and World History.
The Monroe Hi-Q Team is coached by Giles Stanton.
The video conference competition will take place in the School District's Administration Office at 200 East Fremont Street.
