They didn't tell the mighty Chronicle how new or big the screen is, otherwise we would have printed it. We'll need to get someone on this immediately, perhaps our award winning movie reviewer Saxophone Joe Carter, USMC Retired. There will need to be a complete investigation.
In any event, Monroe Parks & Recreation has teamed up with the Monroe Arts Council, Monroe Concert Band, Monroe Family YMCA, Sno-Isle Library, Monroe Public Schools Foundation, Big Dog's, Monroe Boys & Girls Club and- Republic Services in presenting free movie nights on select Friday nights.
Children's crafts and free live music start at 8pm and the movie starts at dusk (approx. 9pm). Bring a blanket, chairs, a jug of homemade white lightning (just kidding) enjoy the available concessions and the Movie Under the Moon, which on Friday is "Guardians of the Galaxy."
Here's the plot: a group of interstellar outlaws teams up to save the galaxy from a villain who seeks ultimate power (no it's not Donald Trump) in this cool comic book space adventure from Marvel Studios. Rated PG-13, runs 121 minutes.
On Friday Aug. 28th the movie under the moon is "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay," starring that hot (and very rich) babette Jennifer Lawrence. Rated PG-13.
