”Lied” to the public about Walmart
Says former Monroe councilman

(MONROE, WA) -- Spend a bit of time talking to former Monroe city councilman and one time mayoral candidate Mitch Ruth about the city’s Walmart controversy and you're likely to get the impression right quick at the get-go this is a man who is a bit angry and most certainly annoyed about what has happened in the community as it pertains to Walmart and its plans to occupy a huge plot of land near the Galaxy Theater just blocks off U.S. Highway 2.
Ruth maintains, in a most emphatic manner, that current Monroe Mayor Robert Zimmerman and a majority of the city council has “continuously, intentionally by design lied to the public by omission and/or commission” regarding the current Walmart controversy.
