ONE CAR ROLLOVER ACCIDENT INJURES TWO NEAR INDEX

(SKY VALLEY) -- A one car roll over accident on Highway 2 near Index Sunday night November 14 injured two people, according to the state patrol.

A 1991 Toyota Landcruiser was eastbound on U.S. Highway 2 at milepost 34, near the Index Cabins turn off road, when it lost control and rolled over, said WSP spokesman Trooper Branden Lee.
The accident happened about 8:18 pm and stalled traffic on the highway for about 45 minutes, according to an Index resident who contacted the Chronicle.
The two people in the vehicle, the driver and one passenger, were transported to Valley General Hospital in Monroe for treatment of minor injuries. Their names and hometowns were not immediately available.
Cause of the accident was not known and is under investigation.
