Crime & grime as it happens
(GOLD BAR, WA.) -- It was a dark and stormy, wind swept, flooding kind of Tuesday. But that did not keep an odd assortment of vile thieves, scalawags, scoundrels of all sorts and other odd, twisted miscreants from misbehaving.
What kind of low life steals lights that kids love to watch? Pretty low low low low low lifers that's who.
The following note came to the mighty Chronicle from a highly placed source. It originated at a residential domicile on First Avenue West in Gold Bar and is titled, "A notice that someone is stealing decorations."
And it reads:
"Just giving you and everyone a heads up. This morning between 3 am and 5 am someone stole my babies laser xmas lights we had gotten them to shine red and green lights on the house.
Due to yesterday storm, unfortunately our swing set was broken by a limb. And now their lights they loved were stolen.
Just wanted everyone to not let their guard down. There are still some inconsiderate pueriles in this world.
Thanks for your time.
(Puerile = childish, immature) "
If you know what low life no account scalawag was responsible for this, please contact your local gendarmes at once. Thank you.
