Gold Bar Police Blotter
Vandals, burglars, thieves and other bad behavior

November 22, 2016

CRIME BY THE NUMBERS. CLICK TO OPEN
(GOLD BAR, WA.) -- Below are highlights from October police responses to calls for service in Gold Bar and the upper Sky Valley as issued jointly by the Snohomish County Sheriff's office (SCSO) and Gold Bar Mayor Lee Hodo.

Pay attention because we won't be repeating any of this.

Vandals: the owner of the electric vehicle charging stations near the Mann Station reported one of the machines vandalized over the Nov. 5-6 weekend.

The other two machines were vandalized in the same manner on or about Halloween last year. Sheriff's office says no leads at this time.

Burgle Heads: Burglaries have spiked east of Gold Bar in the Big Bend, Mount Index Riversites areas and along US Highway 2. Property from one burglary was found in a RV at a residence in Gold Bar and property from another was found in a Gold Bar area resident’s car in Sultan. These cases are being actively worked.

Thieves: A Gold Bar teenager saw a man riding his stolen bicycle (talk about a rude awakening) north out of town from 1st Street. He and his friends watched the suspected perp go to a residence on 399th.

The teen then went home and told his (or her) parents who then called 911. The bicycle was indeed recovered. The suspected perp who initially denied having it, later admitted that he had been in possession of the stolen bicycle and that he knew it was likely stolen. (Well ain't that a fine howdy do?)

Index, WA: one suspicious complaint was cancelled by the reporting party, one "public assist" was provided and one burglary was reported which actually occurred out of town on the Index Galena Road. (Thieves and burgle heads are everywhere. Trust no one)

And there you have it.

Above right, find the October monthly crime stats represented in a nice chart with colors and numbers and stuff. If you don't have more fun than a barrel full of doped up lab monkeys reading those charts, then something's wrong with you.

And remember kids, crime does not pay. You keep on doing crimes and eventually you'll end up in some god awful prison in a cell with a 250-pound weight-lifting lifer named Animal who has designs on you being his next prison wife. And you know what that means pal.
