| | COYOTE PACK HANGING AROUND GOLD BAR December 29, 2011

“ We have a recent input from a Gold Bar resident just off Ley Road and down river from the Wallace River Bridge,” said Beavers.
The resident wrote: "In the last couple weeks there have been two coyotes in my yard, walking through and down by the river. Last night, Dec 26th, a pack of coyotes was down on the river. Out my back door, we heard them yipping howling, must of been at least five them. Could not see them, too dark. But it was a pack. They are here. So the people should know to keep their animals in the house - small dogs and cats. Two cats have been gone for a while, pretty sure coyotes got them. Any way they are here, and will keep making their rounds."
It should also be noted that just two or three coyotes have been known to take down deer and deer sized animals.
So keep an eye on the kids as well as the pets.
