Shutter hit the screens Feb 19 and last weekend (Feb 26-28) it raked in over $22 Million bucks to bring the movie’s total take at the box office so far to over $75 million.
How’s them for some green apples, huh?
THE ACTION: Directed by the Sky Valley Chronicle’s old fishing buddy and Oscar winner Marty Scorsese, SI is about two U.S. marshals, Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Chuck Aule (Mark Ruffalo) who are summoned to a freaky, remote and barren island off the coast of Massachusetts to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a murderess from the island’s fortress-like hospital for the criminally insane.
Once they arrive they meet up with Adam Sandler who’s making a sequel to the movie “50 First Dates” but Drew Barrymore was unavailable to do the sequel so…since they’re in a nut house for the criminally insane anyway, Sandler went and found the insane radio talk show nut/sociopath Rush Limbaugh and hired him to play Barrymore’s part in the sequel.
Anyway, Sandler and Limbaugh are shooting this nude scene and Limbaugh is screaming like a madman like he always does and he’s looking just terrible in this pasty white, fat boy, geriatric naked body of his and…….well…..OK so we lied about that part.
Just wanted to see if you were like, you know, reading this far.
Anyway, Lenny and his sidekick Tonto investigate this missing murderess thing and run into some weird mojo going on at the nuthouse.
Runs 2 hrs. 18 min. Rated R for weird, violent crap, nasty language and some folks bein' seen buck neked.
Don’t take grandma to it, especially if she be a church goin’ woman. Otherwise Billy Bob gives it a big three thumbs up.
