Ingram was initially chosen as the District 2 (Bellevue) Communications Officer of the Year then competed with seven other State Patrol Communications Officers for the state title.

Ingram works at the Communications Center in Bellevue, which serves King County.

Sustained superior performance on the job is the primary consideration when making the selection of Communications Officer of the Year.

“David consistently provides outstanding service to the public in emergency 9-1-1 calls and administrative business calls. It is not unusual for him to “go the extra mile” to provide prompt assistance. He dispatches troopers and other law enforcement personnel to incidents, providing exemplary ongoing support. David is an asset to the District 2 Communications Center and is dedicated to his career and to the citizens of the state of Washington,” said WSP Communications Manager Jo Baumgartner.

Ingram received several commendations throughout the year for assisting with outside projects and training new employees.

David began his career in law enforcement as a Communications Officer Assistant (9-1-1 call-receiver) with the State Patrol in March of 2002.

He was promoted to Communications Officer in July of 2003 and subsequently to Communications Officer 2 (Lead Operator/Trainer) in August of 2008.
