(RENTON, WA.) -- On Friday, June 10th the King County Sheriff’s Office Air Support Unit will be hosting an open house to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
The event will take place at the Air Support Unit’s hangar located at 750 West Perimeter Road, Hangars G&H, Renton, WA 98057.
The event begins at 10am with an open house and static displays of the aircraft and other equipment used by the unit.
At 1pm, Sheriff John Urquhart will be on hand to give a short speech about the Air Support Unit’s history.
After Sheriff Urquhart speaks, there will be an awards ceremony for crew members involved in the rescue of two climbers on Mt. Stuart in February 2015.
Parking is limited. Members of the public are encouraged to carpool to the event. People may be dropped off by the hangars, but then will be directed to the North Lot on West Perimeter Road where a shuttle to the hangar will be provided.
