 GENERAL VALLEY NEWS | |  POLICE BLOTTER LAKE STEVENS: DUI & Hit and Run, arson, assault, harassment by knife August 31, 2010

 (LAKE STEVENS, WA) -- Lake Stevens police responded to 477 incidents in the week of August 22nd to August 28th. Following is brief summary of the more notable incidents officers responded to.
Driving While Under the Influence (DUI)/Hit and Run Collision, 08/24/2010. Happened in the 100 blk of North Davies Rd. A 24-year-old male was arrested for DUI and Hit and Run Collision. The officers were dispatched after a witness reported a male had just struck a telephone pole and then drove off.
Upon arriving officers located the male suspect, who was unconscious in the front seat with the vehicle in drive and still running and stopped in the middle of the roadway. The vehicle was secured by officers and the male was treated by aid car and transported to the Lake Stevens Police Department where it was determined he was under the influence. The man was cited and released.
Arson, 08/26/2010 happened in 8600 blk of 12th St NE. Officers were dispatched to an arson call where the victim stated that someone attempted to set fire to an article of clothing on their porch. The Lake Stevens Fire Marshall and Detectives were notified. The case will be investigated further pending further information.
Assault, 08/26/10 happened in 12700 blk of 16th St NE. A 58-year-old male was arrested for Assault 2°. The 52-year-old female reported that her and her male friend had a verbal argument that turned physical. The two were reportedly having a disagreement about when the female would be leaving. The female was lying down on the couch when the male came at her with a knife. The male fell onto the female while still holding a knife, pinning her down and then he allegedly attacked her with a small wood board. The male was booked into Snohomish County Jail.
Assault, Domestic Violence (DV) 08/27/10 happened in 10300 blk of Lundeen Parkway. A 29-year-old male was arrested for Assault 2nd degree (DV). Officers were dispatched to an assault complaint were 31-year-old female was assaulted by her husband with a knife. Upon arriving and meeting with the female victim - who claims no assault took place despite the marks on her person - the officers then spoke with the male involved who was arrested and booked into Snohomish County Jail.
Harassment/Brandishing, 08/27/10 happened in 700 blk of 87th Ave NE. A 21-year-old male stated that he was being harassed by four other males. The males located the victim while he was walking and begun taunting him to fight. The suspects pulled out a knife and the victim began running.
The male ran to his friends’ house where he continued to get harassing phone calls. The male left his friend’s house a short time later when the male jumped out of a car.
