 GENERAL VALLEY NEWS | |  King County police pursuit ends with one suspect in custody June 13, 2017

 (SOUTH KING COUNTY, WA.) -- A King County Sheriff's deputy was sitting in his patrol car with his windows rolled down Tuesday morning and heard a gunshot near SW 107 Street & 15th Avenue SW.
"The deputy then observed a suspicious vehicle in the area and drove behind it. The vehicle took off and the deputy activated his emergency vehicle equipment. The driver failed to stop for the deputy," said a sheriff's office statement.
The pursuit lasted just over a minute before the suspect crashed his vehicle and fled on foot A K-9 officer unit was able to successfully locate the suspect about 4 blocks from the accident.
Bullets were found on the suspect, according to the sheriff's office and as of 9:35 am Tuesday a "bomb dog" was searching for other evidence.
The sheriff's statement says the suspect was treated at the scene by medics and booked into jail. No other citizens were injured.
During the incident South Seattle Community College was in lock down for safety. The school has since been reopened.
