HOME INVASION ROBBERY IN UNINCORPORATED MARYSVILLE
August 24, 2010

(MARYSVILLE, WA) -- Snohomish County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a home invasion robbery Monday morning in the 8400 block of 27th Ave. NE in unincorporated Marysville.

Detectives believe the two males suspects were attempting to target a specific house, but entered the wrong one instead.

No one was injured in the incident.

“The two men went into the house about 7 a.m. A teenage girl was asleep inside (she was a visitor at the house, not a resident). The homeowners were asleep in a nearby building on the property. The female homeowner walked into the main house as the robbery was happening. The men were armed with a rifle and a handgun and threatened to hurt the two females, but fortunately no one was injured,” said Rebecca Hover, Director of Communications for the sheriff’s office.

The men then stole some electronics from the house and fled in a pickup truck which was found in a nearby neighborhood.

That truck was determined to have been stolen in Marysville. Neighbors spotted two men removing items from the stolen pickup and putting them into a second vehicle.

Based on information provided by those neighbors, detectives ended up at a house in the 9100 block of 94th Drive SE in Lake Stevens.

The second suspicious vehicle was found there.

Detectives got a search warrant, searched the house and found evidence from the home invasion robbery in Marysville.

No arrests have been made yet and the case remains under investigation.

The two suspects are described as white males in their mid twenties to early thirties. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the sheriff’s tip line at 425-388-3845.
