GENERAL VALLEY NEWS | | HEAVY WINDS TUE NIGHT, WED MORNING BROUGHT NEW POWER OUTAGES January 25, 2012

(REGIONAL) -- The heavy winds that came through Western Washington Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning brought more power outages to the region just as utility crews were at work still trying to restore service to customers who have been in the dark since last week's snow and ice storms.
Thirty-eight thousand new outages were reported by Puget Sound Energy, mostly in Skagit, Whatcom, and Kitsap counties.
Work crews have restored service all but 10,000 customers. PSE expects to have them back on line Wednesday.
Meanwhile, PSE crews are also working to restore service to about 12,000 customers still without power due to last week’s snow and ice storms in King, Pierce and Thurston counties.
