 GENERAL VALLEY NEWS | |  DRIVERS INJURED IN HEAD ON CRASH IN SEDRO WOOLEY May 28, 2010

 (SEDRO-WOOLLEY, WA) – Two drivers were injured and taken to area hospitals as the result of a head on crash in Sedro-Wooley Thursday afternoon, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The accident happened at the junction of State Route 9 and Mosier Road about 4:22 p.m. The patrol says failure to yield right of way caused the accident.
A state patrol spokeswoman said the driver of a Toyota pick, identified as 55-year old Betty L. Blouin of Sedro-Wooley was attempting to make a left hand turn onto Mosier Road from Highway 9 and failed to yield right of way to an oncoming Mitsubishi headed in the opposite direction and both vehicles collided head on.
Both drivers were injured and both vehicles were totaled. Blouin was taken to Skagit Valley Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Mitsubishi, identified as 51-year old Assunta Draper Napoleone also of Sedro-Wooley, was taken also to Skagit Valley Hospital.
The state patrol says charges are pending for failure to yield.
