Body found in Mason County's Case Inlet may be that of missing Kayaker
February 18, 2017
(GRAPEVIEW, WA.) -- A body found in the water at Case Inlet in Mason County on Friday may be that of a kayaker who's been missing since early January, according to a report by KCPQ-TV in Seattle.
The station quotes the Mason County Coroner, Wes Stockwell as saying the body might be that of Andrew Aldredge, 31, who was reported missing while kayaking in North Bay on January 4th. A kayak was found that day but a search turned up no trace of Mr. Aldredge.
Friday at about 4:30 pm another kayaker found the body floating near Stretch Island, about 300 feet from Stretch Point State Park. It was recovered by the sheriff's office.
The Coroner's office will do an autopsy next week to determine cause of death and identity.
