(GOLD BAR, WA) -- By 4:00 pm Saturday the temperature at Gold Bar’s “Gold Dust Days” celebration was into the 80’s in a blazing sun and high humidity.

Although it was hot and muggy the crowd was having a great time on the 2nd day of Gold Bar’s annual community celebration that highlights the town’s past as a gold panning Mecca and railroad community.

The ice cold, fresh fruit smoothies were selling well and the panning for gold booth kept kids busy through out the day hoping to find that big chunk of color to amaze family and friends with.

There were live bands to listen to, great food to be consumed, a parade earlier in the day, pony rides, artisans selling their wares and more.

The Sky Valley Chronicler has posted a new video of Gold Dust Days on our VIDEOS page. You can view the same video below by clicking on the play button at the very bottom of this story.

The festival continues through 2:00 pm Sunday. CLICK THE SCHEDULE TO UPPER RIGHT TO SEE TIMES FOR ALL OF SUNDAY’S ACTIVITIES.
