(COLUMBUS, OHIO) — One person was reported killed and two others injured early Tuesday morning in a shooting at a maintenance building on the Ohio State University campus.

Police said the shooting occurred inside a maintenance building, the McCracken Power Plant building, located near Ohio Stadium and that none of the victims were believed to have been students.

According to police, one of the victims was taken to a hospital in critical condition, while the other was in stable condition. No other details were immediately released by police.

Local broadcast reports said a text message was sent to students at about 4:30 a.m., informing them of the shooting and saying that a person was in custody. The message urged them to avoid the area.

Police say the shooting suspect was taken into custody after heavily armed officers searched in and around the power plant.
