(NEW YORK, N.Y.) -- It's no easy gig for one person, a guitar and a voice to stand alone on a New York stage and captivate an audience, especially one filled with music pros and millions more watching on TV.

It's a scary move. Most folks would rather face a root canal with no anesthetic rather than expose themselves and their talent or lack thereof in such a manner.

Failure at that level is, well, it can be devastating to morale and a career or potential career.

But singer-guitar player-home video producer Dave Crosby, 30 of Bothell did just that earlier this week on the hit NBC TV show "The Voice."

He went out there on that stage and just him and guitar and his voice smoked that Death Cab For Cutie song I Will Follow You into the Dark to advance to the next level on Season 13 of “The Voice."

Crosby picked Voice veteran Adam Levine to be his coach over Miley Cyrus and Blake Shelton.

This is just the latest brush with fame for Crosby and his 4-year old daughter Claire Ryann Crosby. They both became well known for Crosby produced videos of duets he and Claire did at home then launched on YouTube.

The result? Millions of viewers. Again, a hard thing to pull off. Try it sometime.

From those videos they ended up doing a gig on the Ellen DeGeneres Show and other appearances including on the show "Little Big Shots."

What's next? We hear from inside sources they'll soon be elected rulers of the world.

And wouldn't that be nice change of pace, considering the dismal level of "leaders" we have now?

After watching the video above, YouTube viewer Heather Leigh wrote:

"I am so happy for Dave! I have been following his family in Facebook, Youtube and Instagram for a longtime! Gosh he deserves this so much! His daughter Claire sings all the Disney sings! There are several awesome videos of them on Youtube! The beauty and the beast video is wonderful! Congratulations Dave! So proud of you!!!"

Agreed. You go bro' Dave, hear?
