Winter storm watch posted for Cascade mountains January 20, 2018

(STEVENS PASS, WA.) -- The National Weather Service has posted a Winter Storm Watch for heavy snow expected in the Cascade mountains and the upper valleys of Snohomish and King Counties including Stevens and Snoqualmie passes.
Snow is expected to fall off and on for the next two days with particularly heavy snow from late Saturday night through Sunday morning, when a foot or more could fall.
The Winter Storm Watch is in effect from Saturday night through Sunday evening. Drivers are advised there may be "significant reductions" in visibility and travel conditions over the mountain passes could be difficult.
