(SEATTLE, WA.) -- The National Weather Service in Seattle issued a winter storm warning early Saturday morning for heavy snow expected in the Cascade mountains, heavy enough that it will make for "difficult travel conditions."

Seven to ten inches of new snow are expected this weekend in the Cascade mountain areas of the following counties in western Washington: Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish, and King Counties, including the Mount Baker Ski Areas, Stevens Pass and Snoqualmie Pass.

What to have in your car

Be prepared for significant reductions in visibility at times. If you must travel in those areas where heavy snow is expected keep in your car an extra flashlight, food and water in case of emergency and a really good, expensive bottle of whiskey to drown your sorrows in if you get stranded and are facing the prospect of freezing to death as solid as block of concrete.

Just kidding about the whiskey. Wanted to see if you were reading down this far.

Safe traveling Bubba. Don't say you weren't warned.
