Welcome to America:
Where it’s now more dangerous to be a school student than a US military member

(NATIONAL) – Well kids, you’ll be pleased to know thanks to the creepy (and getting creepier) gun lobby owning like cattle most of the politicians in Washington (and most of those are Republicans) that there’s a new statistic in America and you’re it.
Thanks to the latest school massacre with guns (near Houston on Friday) in turns out more people have been killed at schools this year than have been killed while serving in the US military, according to the Washington Post.
The report says initial estimates put the number killed at Santa Fe High School at eight (the toll has since risen to 10) so you can compare that to figures for the military compiled from Defense Department news releases, including both combat and noncombat deaths and, “Even excluding non-students who died in school shootings (for example, teachers) the total still exceeds military casualties,” says the report.
Read it and weep right here .
The brilliant Texas official who figured out what’s to blame for the school massacre
If you’ve ever wondered why the state of Texas is fully FUBAR (it’s one of the few states that lead America in the number of hate groups like the Ku Klux Klan, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center) and is the perpetual dust bowl of the country when it comes to anything approaching intelligence, all you have to do is look at the losers and dummies they elect down there to high government positions.
Like the goofball Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick who blamed last Friday’s school bloodbath near Houston in part on "too many entrances and too many exits" on the campus.
Seriously, how much more stupid than that can they get in Texas? What kind of dope is this yahoo smoking?
"From what we know, this student walked in ... with a long coat and a shotgun under his coat," said Patrick, a (what else) mouth-breathing Republican who has (what else) an A+ rating from the National Rifle Association.
"It's 90 degrees. Had there been one single entrance possibly for every student, maybe he would have been stopped."
Geeeeezus H. Johnson. When will you folks in Texas start electing people who aren’t brain dead or brain dead AND robots for the far out, right wing extremist NRA, the new enemy of the people?
This genius Patrick (who in the past pushed for open carry laws, naturally) made those moron comments during a news conference on the same day that a 17-year-old student allegedly opened fire with both a shotgun and a revolver at Santa Fe High School, killing 10 people and injuring at least 10 others.
Reports out of Texas say the guns belonged to the suspect’s daddy.
So here’s a thought Mr. Patrick: did it ever dawn on you there would have been no shooting at all if the shooter hadn’t (obviously) had easy access to guns?
No access to guns, no spraying of bullets, no dead kids. Duh. Get a clue Patrick. Get a freaking clue.
