At about 9:46 pm on August 5th, the Washington State Patrol (WSP) received reports of a serious collision westbound on State Route 18 in the area of the Issaquah/Hobart Road.

When troopers got there, they were able to determine that a Silver 2008 Honda Pilot had been traveling “eastbound in the westbound lanes of SR 18 and struck a 2003 Acura TL.”

A man, the 50-year old driver of the Acura was pronounced deceased at the scene and the 68-year old driver of the Honda, also a man, was transported to Overlake Hospital.
