US HIGHWAY 2 TRAFFIC IMPACTS UPCOMING

(MONROE, WA) -- A reminder for drivers traveling U.S. Highway 2 through the Sky Valley that on going Highway 2 safety improvements will have an impact next week on drivers.

On Monday Sept. 13 through the morning of Tuesday Sept. 14, on lane of Highway 2 in Sultan – between miles posts 15.4 and 28.92, near the Sultan Park and Ride lot - will close from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for paving work.

Then on Tuesday, Sept. 14 through the morning of Friday, Sept. 17, one lane of Highway 2 will close near 245th Ave. SE nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for guardrail work.

Lanes and shoulders in work areas have been narrowed. Drivers should watch for trucks entering and leaving the work zone.

And on Tuesday, Sept. 14 - morning of Wednesday, Sept. 15, the eastbound right lane of US 2 near SR 203 will close from 8 p.m .to 5 a.m. for paving.
There may be closures on SR 203 as well.
