Teenager shot & badly wounded in Burien by friend

(BURIEN, WA.) – The King County Sheriff’s office said Tuesday night that detectives are investigating a shooting incident in which a 14-year old was badly wounded.
In a tweet just after 9 pm the sheriff’s office said the shooting was in the 12600 block of 12th Ave. South in Burien and that initial reports indicated the “accidental shooting” involved a 16-year old and the 14-year old victim.
The victim, in critical condition, was rushed by first responders to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Broadcast TV reports said the victim later passed away.
The TV reports said the two teens were friends and were in a bedroom of a house on 12th Ave. South playing with a handgun when, just before 8:30 pm, the 16-year old shot the younger boy.
