Teen Killed in Kent, WA Shooting Identified

(KENT, WA.) – The King County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the man who died as the result of shooting last night near some apartments as 19-year old Duane Tyson of Kent.
Another person, a 17-year old was wounded in the incident and a third person, also 17 was injured when struck by a vehicle. Both of the injured boys were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where they were described as being in satisfactory condition.
Authorities say the incident occurred around 10 pm near the Bryson Square Apartments located at 24006 108th Place SE.
As of late Thursday afternoon police had not released a description of the shooter but were looking for a vehicle believed to have been involved in the incident, a blue Dodge Charger.
A broadcast TV report said the shooting is possibly gang-related.
KOMO-TV reported that surveillance video, captured on a camera belonging to an apartment resident, showed a group of about 12 people lingering outside the building. They eventually moved out of camera view, loud pops are heard then people started running back into the camera’s view toward the parking lot of the apartment complex.
Those involved fled the area when they heard police coming, according to the report.
