(OLYMPIA, WA.) – The Medical Quality Assurance
Washington State has suspended the license of Clark County physician
Daniel A. Clayton pending further proceedings.
A statement released by the Washington State Dept. of Health says the
Commission alleges that Dr. Clayton is unsafe to practice medicine
due to misuse of controlled substances and alcohol, and not
completing a treatment program.
“Charges also state that Dr. Clayton made misrepresentations to
the Commission in the context of a disciplinary proceeding or
investigation,” said the statement.
Clayton cannot practice as a physician in Washington until the
charges are resolved. Dr. Clayton has 20 days to respond to the
charges and request a hearing.
