(ROCHESTER, WA.) – The Thurston County Sheriff’s office says an unidentified driver in a sedan was killed during an early morning roll over accident in Rochester, a small community northwest of Centralia.

At 4:33 am a sheriff’s office tweet said, “Deputies on scene of a fatality collision at 173rd and Sargent Rd SW. Initial investigation shows that the single occupant sedan was traveling too fast and failed to negotiate a curve. This occurred at approximately 2:30am...the road will be shut down for several hours.”

A TV broadcast report said a person who lives near the crash scene called 911 after hearing a loud noise and had gone outside to investigate. A vehicle was found upside down on the road with the driver trapped in the vehicle. The driver was later pronounced dead at the scene.
