Shooting at Everett Park & Ride leaves teenager wounded
June 24, 2018

(EVERETT, WA.) – Detectives with the Everett Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit are investigating an overnight shooting that hospitalized a teenager.

Police say at about 11:30 pm last (Saturday) night, officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of 122nd Street SE on reports of a loud party.

Arriving officers found about 150 people, mostly juveniles, at a large house party and shut the event down. At about 12:45pm, 911 received reports of gunfire at the El Capitan Park & Ride located at 2020 El Capitan Way.

“Arriving officers found a large group of juveniles. Witnesses said the group moved to the location after leaving the house party and a fight started during which multiple gunshots were fired,” said an Everett Police statement. “A 17 year-old male was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett for a gunshot wound sustained at the Park & Ride.”

The boy’s condition was unknown as of late last night but his injures are believed to be non-life threatening, according to police. No other injuries were reported.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Everett Police Department TIP LINE at (425) 257-8450.
