(SEATTLE, WA.) – Seattle Police Detectives are investigating a shooting incident at a University District house party in which two men were wounded.
It happened Friday night. Witnesses began calling 911 just after 10:00 pm to report shots fired in the 5200 block of 20 Avenue Northeast.
Arriving officers found one person with a gunshot wound to the arm and provided medical aid. Seattle Fire Department Medics arrived a few minutes later and took the 24-year-old man to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
A second victim, a 22-year-old man later arrived at Sweedish First Hill with a gunshot wound to the calf.
“Officers interviewed the victims and witnesses who said they were at a party when a fight broke out,” said an SPD statement. “The witnesses went on to say they heard multiple gunshots and then saw two vehicles speeding away.”
Gang Unit Detectives are working with the victims and witnesses to develop a suspect description and descriptions of the two vehicles.
