PARK N' RIDE
OPEN FOR BUSINESS
September 20, 2008
(EVERETT, WA) -- After nearly two years, the wait is finally over. The new South Everett Freeway Station will open to commuters tomorrow, Sunday, Sept. 21st. The project is located on I-5, just north of 112th Street S.E. in South Everett.

The new freeway station (bus stops and park-and-ride lot) is the first one in the state to be built inside the median. New HOV on and off-ramps in the I-5 median allow buses, carpools and vanpools direct access to and from the station to I-5.
Drivers are able to access the freeway station from 112th Street SE, where crews have widened the road from 2 to 5 lanes where it crosses I-5.
Sound Transit routes 510 and 532 will serve the new facility, as well as Everett Transit route 19. The existing Eastmont park and ride will continue to be served by Sound Transit Route 513, and Everett Transit Route 19 will connect Eastmont with the new South Everett facility.
Drivers can still expect some overnight closures as crews finish up some last minute work. Commuters can also expect changes with other transit agencies as new fall service goes into effect this weekend. Visit the transit agencies’ Web sites for details:
