RAMP & LANE CLOSURES ON HWY 2 IN SNOHOMISH ON SAT.
November 23, 2013

(SNOHOMISH, WA) -- The Washington State Dep't of Transportation (WDOT) says drivers on eastbound US Hwy 2 near Bickford Avenue in Snohomish should be prepared for several closures through Saturday, Nov. 23.

The eastbound Highway 2 off-ramp to Bickford Avenue and the right lane of eastbound US 2 at Bickford Avenue will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

During the ramp closure, drivers will follow a signed detour via State Route 9.

In addition, the left turn lane at the top of the eastbound US 2 Bickford Avenue off-ramp will remain closed through 4:30 p.m. Saturday

This is an extension of a lane closure that began earlier this week. With the left lane at the top of the ramp remaining closed, drivers will only be able to turn right onto Bickford Avenue. No left turns or straight through traffic will be allowed during this time.

The closures will allow contractor crews for the Washington State Department of Transportation to do drainage work.

The Bickford Avenue overpass and ramps to US 2 opened earlier this fall, creating better access for drivers to the highway and reducing the risk of serious collisions in the area.
