President Trump gets booed at Davos World Eco Forum
January 26, 2018

(DAVOS, SWITZERLAND) -- President Donald Trump got booed Friday at the World Economic Forum in Davos after, once again, attacking what he called that "nasty, mean and fake" press.

What brought the boos from the crowd, including some foreign journalists, according to a report in The Independent was when Trump said, "It wasn’t until I became a politician, that I realized how nasty, how mean, how vicious and how fake the press can be. And then pointing into the crowd, he added: "… as the cameras start going off in the back."

And that, according to the newspaper report was met by a mixture of boos and laughter from the audience. The report also said Ishaan Tharoor, a reporter for The Washington Post, confirmed that some "foreign journos sitting next to me booed Trump's attack on the press".

Audience members also booed World Economic Forum founder Klaus Schwab when he introduced Trump by saying that “your strong leadership is open to misconceptions and biased interpretations.”
