Pedestrian killed on
SR 529 in Everett
Driver arrested for DUI

(EVERETT, WA.) – At around 4:00 am this (Tuesday) morning Everett Police were investigating a fatal car/pedestrian collision in the northbound lanes of State Route 529.

The incident closed the highway to northbound traffic just north of the Snohomish River, with traffic being re-routed on to 28th Place Northeast.

Police were called to the scene on a report of a man who found unresponsive in the road.

By about 4:30 am a police statement said a “male driver” had been arrested at the scene of the fatality for Driving Under The Influence.

Traffic in the area wasn’t back to normal until about 5:45 am, due the police investigation of the incident. There were no further details available.
