BREAKING NEWS | | PIMPED OUT Former US basketball player arrested for allegedly pimping girl friend June 17, 2011

Venoy Overton, former UW Husky basketball player, Venoy Overton, was arrested Thursday and booked into jail (KENT, WASHINGTON) -- Kent Police say a former UW Husky basketball player, Venoy Overton, was arrested Thursday and booked into jail for investigation of promoting prostitution.
Overton's arrest resulted from a probe that began last month after police officers had questioned an 18-year-old woman for alleged prostitution “activity" on Pacific Highway South.
During questioning the woman told officers that she had been brought to the area by her boyfriend (Overton) who had provided her with specifics about what sorts of sex acts to perform and what to charge for them. She added that she had been brought to the area to prostitute on two prior occasions.
Overton was booked into the Kent jail and was scheduled to make a court apperance on Friday.
Overton's arrest is his second contact with the law this year involving young women.
In January, he was investigated by police after he had sex with two 16-year-old girls he met on the Internet. He was eventually charged, following a plea agreement, with providing alcohol to a minor which is a gross misdemeanor.
Under the terms of that agreement the 22-year old Overton was required to stay out of trouble for a year.
After that incident UW basketball coach Lorenzo Romar suspended Overton for the Pac-10 Conference tournament, but allowed him to play in the NCAA tournament.
Overton ranks in the school’s top five in career assists, steals and games played.
