Man shot and wounded in Marysville parking lot
February 21, 2018

(MARYSVILLE, WA.) – Authorities say a man was shot and badly wounded in the parking lot of a Marysville motel Tuesday night, evidently the result of a fight with two other men.

The incident happened about 7:00 pm in a parking lot of the Village Motor Inn the 300 block of Beach Avenue.

Officers responding to a 911 call found a 31-year old man on the ground with a gunshot wound. He was rushed to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett with a life-threatening injury.

Witnesses said they heard a shot and then saw two men get into a white SUV and speed away. Officers were searching for the suspects.

Commander Mark Thomas of the Marysville police Dept. told a reporter for KCPQ-TV that they don't believe the shooting was a “random act” and that the public should not be alarmed about their safety.
