Man found shot to death near Seattle Center
April 02, 2018



(SEATTLE, WA.) – Seattle Police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting early Sunday morning near the near Seattle Center.

Police say witnesses began calling 911 just after 2:10 a.m. to report shots fired at the intersection of First Avenue North and Republican Street.

“Officers arrived and found a 21-year-old man fatally injured with a gunshot wound to his head,” said a police statement. “Officers provided first aid to the victim until Seattle Fire Department Medics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.”

Homicide detectives interviewed witnesses at the scene and will work with the Medical Examiner’s office as the case moves forward.  Detectives are asking anyone with information to please call the Homicide/Assault Tip Line at (206) 233-5000.
