 BREAKING NEWS | |  Man dropped off at Seattle hospital with two gunshot wounds July 17, 2017


 (SEATTLE, WA.) -- Seattle Police detectives are investigating the circumstances of a man being dropped of at Harborview Medical Center (HMC) Sunday night suffering from two gunshot wounds.
Officers were called to HMC just before 8 p.m. Sunday by hospital staff when a man was dropped off with two gunshot wounds to the abdomen.
"The 29-year-old victim was currently undergoing surgery and was unable to answer questions, but a man who dropped off the victim said he picked up the victim in the 1400 block of South Lane Street and drove him to the hospital," said an SPD statement.
Officers investigating a report of shots fired in the same area where the victim was picked up spoke to a witness who reported "seeing a man walking out of a nearby wooed area carrying a silver handgun."
The witness described that man as a six foot tall black male wearing a large puffy coat walking towards Jose Rizal park. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate a crime scene or a possible suspect.
