Man Walking With 2-Year Old Daughter Attacked With Pepper Spray At Seattle Park
July 20, 2018

Chronicle staff

(SEATTLE, WA.) – A man out walking Wednesday evening in Seattle with his 2-year old daughter came under attack by pepper spray wielded by a man who was taking photos of young women in a park.

His child’s face was also affected by the spray.

Police were called to the 7400 block of East Green Lake Way early in the evening where they found a man suffering from the effects of pepper spray.

He told police he was walking with his daughter at Green Lake Park when he said he confronted a man taking cell phone pictures of young woman sunbathing near the lake, according to a report by KIRO-TV.

He confronted the picture taker twice, the second time being when he saw the man taking pictures of other women. Words were exchanged and the victim told police the photo-shooter pulled out some pepper spray, shot him in the face with it and ran off.

Police were able to eventually find the suspect. He was arrested for investigation of assault and investigation of assault of a child and booked into the King County Jail, according to the TV station report.
