Male pedestrian hit and killed on I-5 in Seattle

(SEATTLE, WA.) – the state patrol says an unidentified man was hit and killed by multiple vehicles while he was walking on Interstate 5 in Seattle Saturday morning.
The patrol report says the man was walking south on I-5 just after 3:00 am Saturday morning near the Yesler Way collector-distributor road and a 2018 Kia Optima was headed southbound when it hit the man, who was then struck multiple times by “an unknown number of vehicles.”
The driver of the Kia, a 35-year old Federal Way woman was not injured. The cause of the accident is under investigation. Lanes one and two of the freeway were blocked for close to three hours. The dead man’s identity was not immediately available.
