List of companies bailing from doing any more biz with NRA

(NATIONAL) – The boycott against companies who do business with the NRA is starting to gather a serious head of steam.

Check the list of companies in the above graphic at right. As of about 5 am west coast time Saturday morning this is the list of firms who have announced they are severing their business ties with the National Rifle Association.

By the time you read this later in the day, the numbers may be wildly out of date.

To coin a phrase from President Trump, it looks as though the NRA has become the new “enemy of the people” as major companies move to distance themselves from the increasingly far right gun group.

The national boycott movement started days after 17 people were killed last week when a gunman opened fire on students and teachers at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

Police have said the shooter, a suspect named Nikolas Cruz, 19, has confessed to carrying out the murders. Police claim he used a Colt AR-17 military-style semiautomatic rifle, often described as a weapon of war.

Since the school murders, students and their families have organized “near-daily protests, demanding gun control reform,” said the international news platform Aljazeera.
