Lake Stevens man killed in 3-car accident

(SNOHOMIISH COUNTY, WA.) -- The state patrol says a Lake Stevens man was killed and two others were injured in a 3-car crash Tuesday afternoon on State Route 92 in Snohomish County.
The patrol report says a red 1997 Subaru Legacy station wagon was southbound on 44th Street NE at SR 92 (the Granite Falls Highway) just northeast of Lake Stevens and a white 2002 Ford F350 pickup truck was eastbound on SR 22 approaching 44th Street Northeast.
A third vehicle, a blue 2006 Ford focus Sedan was westbound on SR 92 approaching 44th St. NE. The patrol report says the Subaru Legacy pulled out to continue heading south on 44th and was run into, for reasons unknown, by the white Ford F350 truck which spun the Subaru into that third vehicle, the Ford Focus.
Killed in the accident was the driver of the red Subaru Legacy identified as 30-year old Kristofer M. Nordgren of Lake Stevens, Washington. He was deceased at the scene. The vehicle was totaled.
Injured and taken to a local hospital was the driver of the Ford 350 pickup, identified by the stat patrol as 46-year old William S. Quiring of Granite Falls, Washington.
Also injured but not hospitalized was the driver of the blue Ford Focus identified as 23-year old Taylor J. Schroeppel of Lake Stevens, Washington.
The patrol report says the cause of the accident is under investigation
